Namaste and Welcome to Nikya Yoga Schools
Nikya Yoga Schools was founded by Nikita Coppens, a dedicated 500-hour certified yoga teacher. Before her journey as a yoga teacher, she was working as a mental healthcare professional in a protected housing organisation in Amsterdam.
Her search for a holistic approach towards mental health led her to deepen her practice in yoga.
After completing her yoga studies in India, Nikita brought her expertise to Sri Lanka, where she began teaching yoga and managing an established yoga retreat.
Her deep passion for yoga and her profound connection to India inspire her mission to share the authentic essence of yoga with people worldwide. At Nikya Yoga Schools, we believe in offering an immersive experience that honors the roots of this ancient practice. Bringing people together from different backgrounds, and creating a unforgettable time and space for people to grow, connect and bloom.
That’s why during our retreats and teacher training programs, you will learn directly from highly skilled Indian teachers, embracing the wisdom and traditions of yoga as they are taught in India.
